Santa Cruz, May 2025.- On April 29, 2025, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Autonomous Departmental Government of Santa Cruz (GAD Santa Cruz) and WWF-Bolivia. The main objective of this agreement is to establish a collaboration framework to design, coordinate and implement joint actions aimed at the conservation, protection and restoration of local flora and fauna, as well as the promotion of sustainable productive activities within the scope of departmental autonomy and risk prevention and mitigation.
The signing was highlighted as a milestone that consolidates the working relationship between the two institutions, which for several years have been promoting key processes to benefit the ecosystems of Santa Cruz and the communities that depend on them.
"This framework cooperation agreement opens new opportunities to advance towards conservation and sustainable development within the department.
